Over the past five years, Wilson has continued minimal landscape painting, building his body of representational work."I'm drawn to large expanses in nature. Yet at the same time, I'm fascinated by the intimacy of the still life. It's within this dichotomy that I concentrate. When I work from a still life, I work directly. In painting landscapes, I prefer to do studies from observation, using a variety of mediums, and then complete the work in my studio using oils."
